A Song In My Heart – A Reblog

From time to time, we’ll be having guest bloggers or in this instance a “reblog” of something we think you will find useful. Todd Bowman is the Youth Pastor for Ground Zero, Christ Fellowship’s youth group. Since we are currently studying the Holy Spirit in our Big Small Group, we thought you might like to add this to your study.  Enjoy!

I cannot remember the last time I woke up without a song playing in my head.  99 percent of the time is a praise or worship song.  There are those rare occasions when I wake up with some other type of song, usually something really silly like Doe, A Dear, or some other show tune.  (Wait, did I just print that!  So, I like musicals, too.)  Whatever song I wake up with usually sticks with me the better part of the morning, and always comes back to me as I walk Lucy.

I don’t wake up to a radio.  On the contrary, I wake up to the iPhone mandolin strum.  So how does that song get there?  Where does it come from?  I would like to think that the Holy Spirit is just practicing what He preaches with me.  Ephesians 5:18-19 (ESV) says this:

    I made it to C.F. Church today ,(29th) for my 1st visit. GOD IS GOOD all the time. I had good visit.great people,lots of love,great preachin and.good fellowship. Keep on-keepin on lol in Christ Eddie D.
